Chocolate Peanut Butter Cereal Protein Bars

These bars are packed with 14g of protein per bar, and they taste like a mix between a peanut butter cup and a rice krispy treat. Name something better!




Who needs a boring packaged protein bar when you can keep these stocked in your freezer? These bars are the perfect snack and keeps you full for hours, and they take just a few minutes to make.


Serving Size: 8 large bars


Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups crushed cereal o’s (I like Lovebird)

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter (any nut butter works)

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (can sub honey)

  • 2 scoops protein powder

  • 2 Tbsp hemp seeds

  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (Evolved chocolate)



Directions:

  1. Mix crushed cereal, peanut butter, maple syrup, protein powder, and hemp seeds in a large mixing bowl. 

  2. Line a glass Tupperware with parchment paper. Press your peanut mixture evenly into the pan. 

  3. Microwave chocolate chips on 30 second intervals, mixing in between. Pour on top of the peanut mixture and spread evenly.

  4. Cover and place in the freezer for 30 minutes, or until the chocolate has set. 

  5. Slice into bars and store in an airtight container in the fridge for at least a week, or in the freezer for up to 6 months.
